Mommy came home a little sad last night. She told the loud man that Stranger Kitty had been run over.
See, since Moe moved to live with the in-laws, Mommy and the loud man have been feeding a stray kitty they named Buster. Buster is a grey stripey kitty. (she keeps meaning to put a picture of him up)
Recently a pretty Stranger Kitty has come up and tries to beat up Buster and take away his food. They didn't like that. He was fat and healthy and probably belogns to someone in the neighborhood, and we were not going to feed him too, just our Buster.
Anyway, he was a little annoying, but we didn't mean any harm to Stranger Kitty.
Right at the end of our road she saw a white kitty that had been hit HARD by a car. Its inside parts were smeared all over the road it had been hit so hard. No way to help it cause it was very dead.
The Grandpa-in-law said that it wasn't there when he left to pick her up, so it had happened recently.
Mommy and the loud man were both VERY angry because there was no reason he should have been run over. It was on a straight road, not a curve, and the cat was BRIGHT WHITE so that it would have shown up bright at night, not black like our sister Moe.
Mommy is scared that Buster kitty or Moe Belly might get runned over too, and she is not happy at all.
She said she didn't get out and look because it was a yucky, yucky messsy death, but that since it was a white kitty she was pretty sure it was Stranger Kitty.
Mommy really wishes that people would stop running over animals. She also wishes that people who run over pets would be hunt down and punished just like people who run over children, because pets are somebodys fur babies and don't deserve that kind of death!

This is very sad, and horrible to see also. Sometimes people do hit animals on purpose, or they just don't care, I don't understand it at all. I hit a little white doggie more than 30 years ago, and I still remember the awful feeling and sense of guilt. He just ran out in front of the car, there was no way I could have avoided him, it wasn't my fault but I feel guilty and bad even to this day. When I went running to him to see if he was OK he wagged his little tail and died.
I stopped and went to a few houses and they called animal control and said they would tell the owner. I guess that's all I could do.
I hope the animal control people came and picked up that cat so nobody would have to see it like that.
